House rules

We would like your time in the Jewish Cultural Quarter to be as pleasant as possible. During your visit, we ask you to keep these rules in mind, for your own sake and for other visitors.

Cloakroom

The buildings in the Jewish Cultural Quarter have lockers and/or racks where you can leave your coats, umbrellas, and small bags or backpacks. You may keep your coat and handbag with you, but backpacks, umbrellas, and larger bags must be left in a locker or on a rack.

All facilities in the Jewish Cultural Quarter are always to be used at your own risk. The management and other employees cannot be held accountable for loss, theft, or damage.

Luggage

Unfortunately, we do not have storage space for suitcases, luggage carts or trolleys, large bags or backpacks, other travel luggage, or large objects such as folding bicycles. If your luggage is larger than A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm, the height and width of a single sheet of paper), then you may be turned away at the entrance.

Please leave your luggage in your hotel or store it at the Drop & Go in Central Station or at Luggage Storage in Spuistraat.

Employees of the Jewish Cultural Quarter have the authority to check your belongings at any time and to refuse admission to people or luggage as they see fit.

Prams, baby carriages, buggies, wheelchairs, walkers, and rollators
Prams, baby carriages, and buggies are permitted in the museum, as are wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, and other devices for elderly visitors and those with disabilities.

Accessibility

All Jewish Cultural Quarter sites are accessible to visitors with disabilities. We recommend, however, that you bring someone to accompany you during your visit. Wheelchairs are available. You can reserve one in advance with our contact form (see below) or by calling +31 (0)20 531 0310.

We offer special tours for visitors with a visual or hearing impairment.
