Safra Courtyard


About this space

Community members have used this 17th-century courtyard over the centuries for a stroll or as a safe place for children to play. Today, it's available for hire for exclusive receptions for up to 400 persons. Since the courtyard is outdoors, you may wish to rent a gazebo.

Public transport
The Safra courtyard is in the Portuguese Synagogue on Mr Visserplein and is easy to reach from Amsterdam’s Central Station by metro 51, 53 or 54 to Waterlooplein station, leaving by the Nieuwe Amstelstraat exit. Or by tram 14 from Central Station to Waterlooplein.

There are three underground car parks in the area: Markenhoven, ParkKing Waterlooplein and Stadhuis/Muziektheater.
