Get to know the history, culture and religion of Jews in the Netherlands. In four historic buildings located in the old Jewish Quarter you learn with and from each other.
We offer educational programmes on culture and religion, as well as on the Holocaust and remembrance. Together with students, our museum teachers explore similarities and differences between Judaism and the students’ own backgrounds.

Open your world
Our education programmes encourage you to open yourself up to what is new or unfamiliar. That is not always easy, especially when it challenges your own beliefs.
That is why we developed I ASK, a method that focuses on asking questions and exploring your own views.
I ASK is the foundation of all our education programmes. With guidance from our museum educators, students learn to reflect and refine their own opinions. This creates space for different perspectives.

The cost is covered by the Municipality of Amsterdam. Please indicate in your booking if you would like to make use of this offer.
You are welcome to visit the Jewish Cultural Quarter with several classes at the same time. Let us know how many classes you plan to bring, and we will help you create a suitable programme.

Students who identify as boys are required to wear a kippah or another type of head covering in the synagogue (a cap is fine too). Kippot are available at the entrance. Students who identify as girls may also choose to wear one, but it is not required.
All our education programmes are also suitable for special education. Please indicate in your booking if you are coming with a special education group, so we can take your needs into account.
