The Children's Rescue
During the Second World War, around 600 Jewish children were rescued from the Hollandsche Schouwburg and the Crèche across the street. In many cases, they escaped through the nearby Reformed Teacher Training College, the building that now houses the National Holocaust Museum.
At this authentic location, you step into the role of a young researcher. You get to know Liesje de Hond, one of the children who was rescued from the Crèche. And you also explore the story of her cousin David, who, like thousands of other Jewish children, was murdered during the war.
