National Holocaust Names Memorial

Walking tour

Remembering the persecution of the Jews

More than 102,000 names are engraved on the National Holocaust Names Memorial. These are the names of Jews, Roma and Sinti who were persecuted and deported from the Netherlands. Who were these people? What were their lives like before the war? And what happened to them?

This walk takes you past places in the old Jewish Quarter connected to the history of the persecution of the Jews. You will visit, among other places, the Auschwitz Monument and Stolpersteine. Along the way, we reflect on Jewish life before the war and the Holocaust.
