President Herzog attends opening National Holocaust Museum

President Yitzhak Herzog of Israel will attend the opening of the National Holocaust Museum this coming Sunday. Herzog first and foremost represents the home country of many Dutch Holocaust survivors who left the Netherlands for Israel after World War II to build a new future there. Additionally, he represents Israeli counterpart institutions of the National Holocaust Museum, with whom knowledge is shared, and who have provided documents, photos, and video materials.

It is bitter that we open the National Holocaust Museum during the war in Israel and Gaza. However, we expect a dignified ceremony that will do justice to the significant national and international importance of our museum.
