‘Queen Esther’ screening & conversation with the filmmakers

Esther through a queer‑feminist lens
Location: Jewish Museum
Time: 3pm - 4pm
During this session we will screen Queen Esther, a short documentary filmed during a Purim cabaret night in Paris. On stage, Jewish artists — including a burlesque performer, a rabbi and an irreverent comedian — come together in an unexpected and electrifying mix. Through their eyes, the ancient story of Esther comes alive, resonating with deeply contemporary themes such as coming out, femicide and identity.
After the screening, we will talk with filmmakers Geoffrey Druck and San Bah about intersectionality, allyship and Jewish heroism, followed by a Q&A.
This event will be in English.
