Invisible Years

Language: English
Location: National Holocaust Museum
Time: 2.00pm - 3.30pm (doors open at 1.30pm)
In 2020, the book Invisible Years was released, and now, five years later, it has finally been translated into Dutch. During this special event, the focus will be on the story Daphne Geismar tells in Onzichtbare jaren. Following a presentation and reading by Daphne herself, the short film of the same name will be shown, and the event will conclude with a panel discussion.
Invisible Years is a heartfelt portrait of Daphne Geismar’s family during the Nazi occupation. As their lives became increasingly restricted, the family decided to go into hiding. Using quotes from letters, diaries, and interviews, Daphne shares the story of her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The book is for sale in our museumshop. After the event there is the possibility to get it signed by Daphne.
