Candlelight Concert: Iris Hond

Iris Hond is known for her ability to combine classical music with modern influences. Her artistic vision and profound playing touches a wide audience. She performs in prestigious concert halls such as the Royal Concertgebouw, as well as at festivals and special locations shelters. She has been praised by luminaries like Ludovico Einaudi and is a welcome guest on international stages.

This concert has an extra meaningful connection because of Iris’s Jewish background. Together with her father, she made an impressive trip to Auschwitz, which was made into a documentary for Dutch public television in 2018. This year, on May 4, Iris will be one of the wreath-layers at the National Remembrance of the Dead and one of the main artists on the next day’s Liberation Day concert.
